- ProtoType generates lists of suggested words as you type. There are different lists including word completion, next word suggestions, word banks and spelling correction | each described below.
WORD COMPLETION | as you type, the Word Completion list suggests possible endings for the word you are typing. As you use ProtoType, it will learn your typing patterns and suggest the words that you use most often. Words are only suggested from the ProtoType dictionary. You can add or remove words easily if you wish.
NEXT WORD | When you finish a word, the next word list is displayed. This shows words that you often type after the previous word.
SPELLING | If you type a word that is not in the dictionary, it will be marked in red and alternate words will be suggested. You can also perform a separate spell check when you have finished typing.
WORD BANKS | Word banks are topical lists of words. If you have one selected, you can display words from this rather than the spelling dictionary. These are great for spelling topical words correctly. New word banks are very easy to create, and there are a number of examples available for download from the Sensory Software web site.
MENU | The ProtoType 'menu' list gives keyboard users fast access to the functions available in the toolbar and program menu. Send Text is used to transfer the text written in ProtoType into another application.Speak Sentence is used to speak the text (if you have speech installed).Spell Check Sentence brings up a spell checker, with speech and picture support.
