Tellus 3+ is a very robust, wheelchair mountable dynamic display, speech generating device. It’s a powerful computer-based device with a bright and clear 12” display.
Tellus3+ is a multi-faceted communication aid based on the graphic communication program Mind Express or The Grid 2. The Tellus 3+ uses a high performance computer platform with Windows XP tablet Edition. The built-in high quality amplified stereo speakers produce excellent sound. With multiple access methods and feature-rich software, the Tellus 3+ can be easily adapted to meet the varied needs of each individual user.
Not only is the front water resistant, but the design assures optimal sound quality and robust protection for the internal computer platform. Connections include two USB 2.0 ports, FireWire port and the input for switches and joystick are at the bottom of the Tellus. The casing is available in red or blue.
Tellus 3+ has five programmable buttons next to the 12,1” XGA touch screen. The buttons allow system control such as volume settings, but can also be used for standard messages, to call attention or as a talking clock.
The Tellus 3+ has the latest wireless networking: WLAN and Bluetooth. This allows wireless printing, internet capability, e-mail functionality and mobile phone access. The Tellus 3+ can make a wireless ‘Bluetooth’ connection with a mobile phone, provided that it also has Bluetooth technology. The Tellus 3+, in combination with a webcam, allows the user to take pictures.

Keyguards are available in 8x6 7x6 8x4 6x4 (horizontal x vertical) configurations. Two heavy-duty rubber bands and positioning guides secure the keyguard to the device.
